Set up Watering Schedule

Spring startups, also known as summerizing, water sprinkler turn-ons, in-ground sprinkler start-ups, or sprinkler system setup, are essential at the beginning of every spring. Your garden irrigation and lawn sprinkler system must be properly activated and set up for the coming season. In North Idaho and Washington, the optimal time for spring sprinkler turn-ons varies with the weather, typically falling between late March and May.

Northwest Sprinklers will turn on your water, activate your sprinklers, check your controller, inspect sprinkler heads, pipes, and valves, and assist with your sprinkler schedule to ensure everything runs efficiently.

Backflow Testing

Backflow testing in North Idaho and Washington is essential to ensure that everything connected to potable water does not allow backflow, which could contaminate your city’s drinking water. A backflow device’s primary purpose is to keep water moving in one direction. This ensures that if there is backflow in the main water system, contaminants from your irrigation system, fire suppression system, water softener, or boiler do not enter the drinking water supply.

Backflow devices are made up of internal seals, springs, and other moving parts that can break down or corrode over time. Regular backflow testing ensures that your device remains in proper working order and continues to protect your water supply from contamination.

In Idaho, backflow testers must be State Approved Backflow Testers. If you use someone who is not on the Idaho State Approved Backflow Testing list or your local city’s Approved Backflow Testing list (e.g., Coeur d’Alene or Post Falls), your test will not be submitted for approval, and your backflow responsibility will not be covered.

Northwest Sprinklers is proud to be an Idaho State Approved Backflow Tester with certifications from the American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA). We ensure compliance and reliability for all your backflow testing needs.

To streamline our services, sprinkler start-up and backflow testing now require pre-authorization for repairs up to $200 during the initial visit. Repairs exceeding $200 will be quoted and rescheduled for a later date in the season. If a backflow assembly fails its initial test, additional testing will be required to ensure functionality.

Ensure your water stays safe and clean. Contact Northwest Sprinklers today for professional backflow testing services you can trust!
